A missing piece for your business
The Necessary Evil You’ll Learn to Love
Insurance is probably the most hated product in the world. You pay a lot to have it and pay even more when you use it. BUT, it’s there when you need it.

Business owners of all types (cleaners included) should seriously consider general liability insurance. If this is a new term for you, don't worry, we got you.
General liability insurance protects you and your business from losing money due to a lawsuit or other claims made against you. Insurance, especially for business owners, is crucial.
Storytime:
Just last week, one of our cleaners accidentally bleached a $450 comforter. 😲 Yikes.
A Real-Life Scenario:
Let’s say you’re cleaning a new Airbnb and, by no fault of your own, you use the wrong chemicals on the hardwood floors. Now, those beautiful floors are cloudy and nothing is making them shine again. Obviously, the owner isn’t happy and wants you to pay for the replacement which costs a couple grand 🤑. You don’t have that kind of money, so this is where insurance steps in.
With an insurance policy for your cleaning business, you can file a claim and let the insurance company handle it. The best part? Coverage like this can cost as little as $30 - $75 per month, depending on where you live.
I know, I know—insurance is terrible and you might never need it. But it’s a small price to pay for some peace of mind.
A Few Words of Caution:
If you own a business and use contractors as your main staff, most insurance policies don’t cover damage caused by contractors. This is why I require all of our contractors to provide proof of insurance before stepping onto the job site. If they don’t have insurance and make a mistake, I don’t want to be left holding the bag.
And don’t rely on Airbnb’s damage protection either. The insurance offered to hosts through the Airbnb platform does NOT cover damage caused by cleaning.
So, if you’re wondering whether you need insurance for your business, the answer is a resounding YES! 🔊
How Do You Get Insurance?
There are plenty of options, but I personally recommend Next Insurance. I have a policy through them and it was incredibly easy to get a quote and a policy set up. Even if you aren’t sure if you need insurance (which you probably do) I would highly recommend you get a quote so you know what to expect.
