Most cleaning business owners grind away online trying to get customers. SEO, Facebook ads, cold emails. And sure, those work. Eventually.

But there is a faster way.

One of my biggest unlocks? Messaging people for coffee.

Nothing fancy. Just a simple “Hey, I’d love to grab a quick coffee and hear what you’re working on” text to local business owners. No pitch. No pressure. Just connecting.

And guess what?
The moment someone sees your face, shakes your hand, and realizes you are a normal human, they trust you. You are not just a name in their inbox. You are real.

In fact:

Networking Groups: The Shortcut to Trust

Want to speed this up? Join a BNI chapter, chamber of commerce, or local business networking group.

  • BNI (Business Network International). Weekly meetings where businesses send each other referrals. It is like a sales team you do not have to pay.

  • Chamber of Commerce. Local business events, mixers, and connections with key people in your city.

  • Other Networking Groups. Look for real estate meetups, property manager groups, or industry events where your ideal clients hang out.

Your Challenge

Before next week, do these three things:

  • Meet two people for coffee. Does not have to be clients. Just get out there.

  • Research local BNI chapters. Find a meeting and see if it is a fit.

  • Check out your chamber of commerce. Most cities have networking events. Go to one.

Then, report back on what you learn.

The fastest way to grow your business is not more marketing. It is more trust, and trust is built in person.
