Here's how to write a cold email that people will actually respond to (my before & after below)
Not going to lie, I used to think I was pretty good at getting attention COLD. Apparently not.
So the other day I took a crash course on writing cold emails and had several "a-ha" moments.
Learnings below ⬇️
Objective: Your goal is to move from COLD to warm. Not to sell something. All you want is a response (yes, no, or talk to John Doe.)
Subject line: Tempt your reader to open the email. Create a curiosity gap. They open because they want to know what you have to say.
Go Deep: Once they open the email, connect with them. Share something intimate so they know you're talking directly to them (see my example below for Airbnb hosts).
Inspire w/ benefits: How are YOU going to make them more productive, richer, happier, etc.? Cater to selfish desires - what's in it for ME?
Validate your promise: Prove that you're worth their time. Give a quick nod to what you've done for others.
Ask: Close with a simple ask. Remember yes, no, or talk to John Doe and move from cold to warm (see my example below).
Bonus points: include a P.S. and keep it light. Maybe some more personality (a photo of yourself to prove you're normal and not a crazy person on the internet).
See my before and after below.

Until next time,
Logan
