Proven methods to grow your business
Hi!
If you’re new here, this is where Airbnb cleaners and business owners come to grow. If you missed it, the last edition of Same Day Turn kicked off the series How to Get Your First 10 Customers. Check it out here if you haven’t seen it yet.
Today we’re moving forward onto part 2 some of the best methods to getting more Airbnb clients for your cleaning business! Let’s dive in!

Networking / Referrals
Ever been to a networking meet up? Surely you have. Everyone is standing awkwardly holding coffee in one hand and a business card in the other. This is the quintessential event for all small business owners. And let’s face it. It’s an awkward place to be. But if you can stomach the cringe, it’s actually an incredible place to meet potential referral partners and customers.
I went to my first such meeting last week and trust me, I was skeptical. That is until I actually got to know the people there. Some of those folks were doing extremely well. One guy is doing $3.5M a year renting porta potties. No 💩 (sorry, I had to).
While not everyone at the networking event is a customer, they certainly know someone who could be a customer. In this room of business owners you’ll meet plumbers, electricians, realtors, property managers, etc. All of them know someone who could be a future customer for you. If you simply show up and provide value, it could make a big impact on your business.
So here’s a challenge: make it a goal to find a networking group in your town. Here are some examples: BNI, Rotary, Local Chamber of Commerce, etc.
Y’all know what Instagram is so I won’t bore you with the details. If you’re not using it, you should. Instagram, Facebook, etc. have incredible location features that will alert people in your area about your account (perfect for a local business).
Use this to your advantage and start posting regularly. Some experts say to post at least once per day. And if you do take this approach, you should spread out your posts following the rule of 3:
1 post offering your services (cleaning Airbnbs)
1 post with education (helpful tips, showing your expertise)
1 post to benefit the community (upcoming events, community news, etc.)
You want to avoid turning every post into a sales pitch. Focus on being a resource and customers will naturally gravitate toward you.
Pro tip: be sure to create a separate account for business and personal life. You’ll want to keep your personal stuff…. well, personal.
Host Meetups
Now that you are a professional with Facebook groups thanks to our last edition, it’s time to meet these hosts face-to-face. Yep, that’s right, put a face to the name. Every Host Facebook Group that’s worth their marbles has regular, in-person meetups. This is where hosts, property managers, services providers, etc. meet and talk about the STR (short-term rental) industry in their community.
Meetups are used to make new connections and hopefully get some new customers. You should 100% be there when you can. It’s an incredible way to meet new people and promote your business.
Before you go, you should know a few things. In order to stand out at these events, you need to look and act the part. Look and act like a business owner, not a cleaner. Because at the end of the day, YOU ARE a business owner!
What does showing up like a business owner mean? A few things:
Show up a little early (5 minutes is good)
This is your time to meet the host of the event and survey the room. Identify the key people you’d like to talk to.
Show up in business casual
Yes, put those cleaner clothes away and break out that collared shirt, new blouse, whatever you got. You want to show up as a professional. This will command respect and help you punch above your weight.
Show up with business cards
I know, I hate them too. But it’s a great way to remind people who you are and how they can get ahold of you. Bonus point: it’s also a great way to tactfully leave a conversation. “Here, let me give you my card and we’ll be in touch.”
Show up with a name tag
Don’t assume the event will have name tags handy. Everyone will appreciate it if they don’t have to ask your name multiple times. In fact, yours might be the only name they remember.
P.S if you want my full run down of all the ways to get new customers for your Airbnb, check out my $49 course (way undervalued if you ask me). It’s 2.5 hours of me explaining how to grow an Airbnb cleaning business from $0 - $20K/mo. It’s my story with all the details.
Heck, if you buy it and hate it, I’ll give you your money back. That’s how confident I am that it’s worth way more than $49. Get it here!
Until next time,
Logan
